First Time Home Buyers

Last night I attended a closing with my clients who just purchased their first home! Every sale is an exciting moment for an agent, but working with First Time Home Buyers is extra special. Those are the moments where, as an agent, you know you helped someone achieve a life goal. Its a good feeling!

Every buyer should hire a real estate agent, but its extremely important for when you are purchasing your first home. You want to be sure all of your questions are answered by someone you can trust. It is a complicated process, involving a lot of paperwork and a lot of different important steps. Buying your first home already comes with a fair amount of stress, working with an agent can help relieve some of that stress.

You may have an idea of the house you want, but after scrolling through internet listings, you might be totally lost. Starting with basic criteria, we can put together a list of houses to see that should fit your needs. After viewing a few houses, it becomes clearer as an agent, exactly what you are looking for. At that point, we can really narrow it down, so you only see houses that are spot on. You could spend months to years looking on your own, but with an agent, you could find your dream home much sooner!

You don't want to lose your dream home by presenting a weak offer, but you also don't want to overpay for a house and run into issues with appraisal or reselling your house down the road. Real Estate Agents study the market daily. We know if a certain area is seeing a drop in prices, if its a popular area that is seeing lots of multiple offers, or if a property has a potentially good resale value. We also factor in the condition and amenities of a property compared to similar properties that were recently sold. Using all of this information, we can help buyers determine a fair, and strong offer to present to the sellers.

Once your well thought out offer is accepted, your agent will help you organize all of the paperwork as well as keep track of important dates and deadlines. If a problem arises, you can rest easy knowing you have someone working for you to clear up any issues or dilemmas. We would rather you spend your time thinking about what color you want to paint your kitchen, or what flowers you're eager to plant outside instead of worrying about the when, what and where details.
